As an eligible registered apprentice, you may qualify for up to $4,000 per period of technical training, for up to 5 periods. Plus, you'll enjoy a payment-free status for up to 6 years, as long as you remain registered in a Red Seal designated program.

What can I do with my account?

With a Canada Apprentice Loan online service account you can:
  • resume a saved application;
  • review and edit a submitted application;
  • sign up for direct deposit;
  • view your loan status, history, and account balance;
  • learn how to repay your loan;
  • download the forms you will need from the toolbox; and
  • update your contact information.

Important new sign-in and registration process

The Canada Apprentice Loan Service Centre (CALSC) is now using My Service Canada Account (MSCA) to provide students with a higher level of security when they register or sign in to CALSC.

On the MSCA home page, you will sign in or register for an account. When all steps are complete, choose the CALSC link. You will be directed to the CALSC website to manage/maintain or register for a CALSC account.

Note: Before registering, find out if you are eligible for a Canada Apprentice Loan.

To sign in or register, you have 3 options:

  • GCKey
  • your online banking sign in information (Sign-in Partner)
  • your provincial digital ID (Alberta and British Columbia only)
